Brighton and Hove Council commissioned me to produce a Christmas advert to raise awareness of the importance of fostering. The film combines a collection of children’s voices with hand animated illustrations by Laina Deene. We were given one week to make this video, from conception to execution and ended up so pleased with the result.

For many, Christmas can be a wonderful time of the year. Sadly, some children face abuse and neglect, and Christmas can be a time of worry and sadness. Brighton and Hove Council wanted to convey these young people’s emotion in this video, which we interpreted with these tactile animations that represent the spoken word.
